Hi Mark,

Do you have  dimensions for the bus - height width and length?  Do you know what scale it is?

Will it be a separate sale item?

Thanks, Mike A.

Good Morning Mike,

Here are the approximate dimensions: 6-1/2"L x 1-5/8"H x 1-3/8"W.

I'm not certain what the scale is but I can tell you this, it sure looks great on an O gauge flatcar!

We don't have plans to sell this as part of our die-cast collection at this time. Sorry!

Thanks for asking,
Mark the Menards Train Guy

The only problem I have ,and it's my problem, is that the flatcar loads which I love, are all over the place as to size! I would prefer 1/43 or 1/48 across the board for loads. That being said, I understand the price would go up but it would make mixing things together in consists much easier! Am I the only one who feels guilty when I even remotely criticize Menards considering they do such a great job, from products to customer service? LOL

play trains,

We will continue to look for 1/48 and 1/43 scale die cast as we expand our selection.

It's not as much a matter of price as it is a matter of "does it look cool?" If we have the opportunity to put a really cool load like clipper bus (or Saturn V Rocket for that matter ) on a flatcar, we choose to use our imagination. After all, we are in the hobby to have fun, right?

As far as feedback goes, we know how important it is because it helps us improve.  I believe criticism is equally important, especially when it is given in a respectful manner by folks like yourself.

Thank you,

Menards offers both scale and semi-scale.  I was gifted a flatcar which closely resembles Lionel's PS-4 54' flatcar complete with wood decking and stakes but minus the underbody brake rigging.  Most of their other rolling stock appears to be Lionel semi-scale.  Their O scale structures are out of this world and loaded with details, lighting, etc.  Not sure who their supplier is (Woodland Scenics?).  I have one of their engine houses.   Kudos to Menards for venturing into the world of model trains.
