(10/03/16) Santa Fe, Great Northern & B&O Time-Saver Boxcars from Menards!

Just when  I thought I had enough shelves built.. this comes along... Love the Santa Fe's !! These will look great along with the Santa Fe coal hoppers.

Three more beautiful box cars for people to purchase. Of the three, the Baltimore and Ohio is my favorite. I still remember the night, back in the fifties when my father took me to our local American Flyer dealer and told me to pick out a new car. The car I chose was a #980 Baltimore and Ohio "Time Saver Service" box car.

Ah, could see that one (Time Saver Service) coming!

I was checking out the many offerings last week and that particular B&O boxcar jumped out as missing. My first Menards order included some of the Sentinel Service livery so these are a welcome addition to the B&O family.

I’m afraid I need more.

Great graphics on this group. B&O is my favorite.  

Again, beautiful new boxcars and the return of the Midwest and Ohio rebate program!! Oh well! The boxcar are really nice though! LOL

I seen our friends have given into the dark side with HO versions of their buildings, maybe that is why we have not see new O scale buildings.  Well hopefully not.

Really digging these designs, especially the Santa Fe. I would really love to see a matching Santa Fe caboose.

What I need now is Menards to come out with a nice lumber mill to go with my million 51/2 in trees!

Still no "Friendly" stuff, that is SP?  Regular boxcar, or black or silver "Overnite" cars.

Also, one cannot have enough green Express boxes.  REA, ATSF, SP.  Even Amtrak had some in greenwhen they were r unning express boxes.  Other railroads had some painted in their passenger car colors, like GN.  UP had some in CHALLENGER, TTG, and yellow!  Or regular boxcar color with REA markings like PRR.  Think outside the box!  Add a rider car or caboose, and one can have a great looking Mail and Express train!

is there any plans to reissues the "Barn"  a while back I emailed a couple of stores that listed it as in stock.  one store cold not find it and the other store I never heard back from.

We don't have any plans currently to reissue the barn. However, if there is enough interest, we may be open to the idea.

I was able to find what I believe to be the last remaining O Gauge Classic Dairy Barn at our Garden City store.

All you have to do is give the store a call and let them know that you are looking to purchase the SKU# 279-1992 Classic Dairy Barn O Gauge Building. If they are unsure what you are referring to, mention to them that they are holding it for you at the Hardware Desk.

Agree with Matt.  A SF caboose to match those boxcars and hoppers.  Can't resist these cars, and the cars that seem to just keep coming.  Hope Menards has another forest of trees....

Those BSB GN boxcars look like the blue used on the, er, PC, cars?

At this point,  I have $1,000 saved up for all of the upcoming matching caboose(s).
