Comparing the Strasburg tank car production photo to artwork for this car available on Pat’s trains web site, raising the graphic “The Road to Paradise” on the left side of the car is a definite improvement.  Where the railroad name is now located on the right side of the car versus the artwork is not an improvement but is not terrible in my opinion. Others may see these changes differently.

Again, just my opinion, but based on the length of time it took for the container carrying the figure sets to make the voyage (approximately 60 days) along with the processing time once they arrived in the US, without knowing the tank cars have already left China I doubt they will be in dealer stock before mid to late January.  I hope I am wrong and they arrive much sooner.

UPDATE 11-06-2022

Ken lionel and Greg M... yes I have received actual painted production samples of the 8 tank cars pictured earlier in this post. The 967xx ore cars are also on production schedule and I am waiting for production photos. Appreciate you comments on the other 8 tank cars. Regarding the Strasburg logo orientation, yes it does differ a bit from artwork, but because of the entire image area right side, it needed to be modified due to pad print plate limitations and this was my decision. Regardless, I think the car looks very good with all the detailed printing area used.

@juniata guy and prrhorseshoe curve... I think you will be happy when the cars you ordered do arrive.

Greg M... shipping transit time is at best an estimated schedule subject to many outside forces. The amount of time to get products through customs can also be a bottleneck. Making arrival claims based upon speculation will not get the tank cars here any earlier. Understand that alot of different steps need to jive so everything will work together for a timely arrival. Knowing the departure date is only the first step.

As these tank cars are the first freight car production, all the steps are carefully calculated to have a great product to offer RMT customers.

To all...thanks for your interest and support.

A new print plate should have been done lowering the right side.  A new design layout, negative then plate should have been done.  It looks funny, too high. I have this and a bunch of Ore cars on order.  Please post pics asap.  I have new hope, stras and br&w Ore cars ordered , can't wait to see them.   Do you expect proofs soon?   Thanks again Walter,  you are the man!
