Are you trying to add a motor to this unit? I suspect you may have to buy a power truck to get the job done, you need the gears as well.
Of course, a posting with no description just leaves us guessing as to what you are wanting to do.
The power truck is already there as are the gears and the pickup all it requires is the motor, I tried [unsuccessfully] to add what I wanted to do the first time .it didn't work not sure why , but the RS3 diesels are all set up this way I owned a Southern RS3 and it had the same arrangement with the power truck ,SO the question is two fold 1] does anybody know the p/n of the motor? and 2] has anybody successfully managed to add a 2nd motor ? 3] wiring .......lol
Ps if you look closely at the picture you will see the power truck assy is there, complete with gears/pickup/etc .
I'm wondering though if the cost for a replacement motor would be significantly different than just buying a complete power truck assembly that would include the motor.
I think those use the same motors that are used in the Lionel 4-4-2 "atlantic," RS-3 & GP30 engines that are found in starter sets. If you check Lionel's website online you might be able to find a parts diagram list from a locomotive from one of those sets that would include the motor.

Hardly complete... the geared wheels are there(and lacking the slots for the traction tires), but the spur gears/crown gears are not.
Right Rob, I noticed the other gears are not there. That's the standard way K-Line did those when they were not power trucks.
A new power truck is the answer, as you'll spend more trying to get the gears and motor anyway.
Here's a K-Line Power Truck on eBay.
Replacement motor
If you want to add another power truck to have dual motors, don't use a K-line motor truck unless you replace both power trucks, the gearing is different.
K-Line power truck
Bill, are you saying that truck on eBay has different gearing? I didn't realize that.
I have the truck from an RMT RDC that I'd give you, if those gears match, you'd have the motor and the gears. The trucks still say K-Line on them, and the gears sure look exactly what is on the truck Bill posted. However, since I didn't need traction tires, I pulled the two wheels without traction tires off the truck and now it has traction tire slots on all the wheels. However, it's free.
If interested, I have a power block available. You would just use the original sideframe assembly. It has the motor, gears, and pick-ups. Drop a email if interested. 25.00 + ship
Chuck
Chucks method is the best way to go. I have added second powered trucks that way.
John, The engine is Lionel's and you recommended a K-Line truck. Yes K-line has different gears. G
I don't have a Lionel to compare right now, but they sure look like the same gears. I normally steer clear of these types of trucks. I bow to the folks that actually have one in hand to compare.
The Lionel gears are different from K-Lines. They are very similar, but you can't mix-and-match the gears. I tried using K-line spur gears in a Lionel truck block and the gears jammed. Just enough difference that you can't substitute.
That figures Chuck. I wonder if you could use the whole K-Line truck and mount it in the Lionel sideframes. The mounting looks the same, but again, I don't have one to tinker with.
thanks guys I learned a lot didn't know that items were missing, and did have concerns about matching gear, I have another question about my k-line plymouth diesel the motor is dying.dead or just resting, it barely moves any idea on a fix ?
