John Haggers joined our club about 2 years ago. In the last year he has produced many videos of our trains and each one seems to get a little bit better than the previous. This is one of may favorites because of the wide variety of trains featured.

It starts with a west bound Burlington Pioneers Zephyr meeting and east bound California Zephyr.

ENJOY.

Jim, loved the video!  I particularly love the camera at normal viewing angles.  It makes me feel like I am at trackside and the layout looks very realistic that way too.  Great variety of trains, something for everybody.  Passenger trains look right at home on your broad curves and long straightaways.  The Santa Fe reefer train is a knockout as are the name passenger trains.

Great job!  Have to get down and see your guys again soon.

Good video Jim - Thanks.  Especially liked the Alco Pa's. Which company's are they please? The smoking B unit is good.

Interesting that the long consist didn't have a regular vista dome - whose set are these with the reflective finish?

The ATSF Alco PAs & PB are Lionel Legacy, 2010 vol 2 catalog. Limited use until I got my MTH LED passenger cars, they all came at once this summer.  Original powered B  smoke unit failed and was not repairable. I got a Southern Pacific powered B unit from the same year and swapped the shell and trucks.

MTH released the 5 car ATSF Stainless Steel Plated Passenger car set in 2015 catalog without a regular vista dome car. I got two  long vista dome cars. When they re-released in 2016 vol 2 catalog, the 5 car set had a regular vista dome, but I already had enough cars on order and did not need the end car either.

Thanks for the comments Greenline, I appreciate it. I had the Legacy PAs as well but was disappointed that they 'cheaped out' and deleted the MARS light that the TMCC version came with so I sold them. Was able to pick up the earlier version from Doug (Laidoffsick) awhile back so now I'm happy!

The first three cars (baggages and RPO) certainly are beautiful - The whole set is as nice as any out there.
