First off I appreciate the fact that MTH makes great products because I have rarely had an issue.
I run:
2 rail DCS
Engine:
ES44DC
Issue:
Only the center wheels on the back truck rotate when I add throttle.
Thanks in advance

MTH Product Number?
Well, given that at least four wheels on the six wheel truck are driven, I'd be looking at the gears in the truck.

That is the first think I checked. I'm baffled because only the center wheels turn but the gears appear to be fine. Is it possible over grease job inside the truck is causing an issue?

That was the first thing I did. All the gears outside the truck appear to be aligned and inside the truck there is a lot of grease and but the gear inside seems to be fine.
Turn motor flywheel by hand and and look at the wheels on that truck.if it does the same take screw out of bottom to release truck and look at the gears if look fine re assemble and again turn fywheel by hand.
Let us know what you find .
If the gears are meshing fine, then one gear is slipping on the shaft.
Also, it's not the grease, you can submerge the truck in grease, it should still operate correctly.
Compare it closely to the front truck that does work properly. Is the middle wheel rotated by the motor? If the outer wheels do not rotate has to be those idle gear and mesh. Is the centerwheel gears engaging and rotating an idler gear? G

Sorry I haven't had time to work on it yet this weekend. The front truck does not work at all. The rear truck does work but only the center wheel.
Ok, Is this an engine that ever worked or a train show piece purchased recently? Pictures would help. G
