#153 Block signal

I picked up a 153 Block Signal at a swap meet to put on my "G" gauge layout hanging from my patio ceiling. Are the two out side terminals supposed to insulated from the base? These items were not mounted!

I suspected as much! Since I am using a track activation device, I will sneak those leads outside of the signal and connect them directly. Since the layout is 7'6" from the patio floor, I just the wiring exposed!
