Is it time we get our own 2-Rail For Sale Forum on OGR?

I just went over to the For Sale area and there are no less than a dozen posts on top that don't say either way...  we know they are almost all 3-rail.  It gets a little old clicking a dozen times only to see it's not 2-rail.

What are your thoughts/ideas on this?

Thanks.

This has been brought up several times in the past.  Didn't happened then won't happen now.  I don't think there is that much that needs a 2 rail only for sale thread.

I have also placed 2 rail only items for sale (in the basically 3 rail for sale forum) and I do agree with you.  My items were off the page in less than 2 hours because of the number of 3 rail items being placed for sale.

If only the "geniuses" at E-Bay could appreciate the distinction, I personally have no interest in most 3-rail (or PRC 2-rail either) so if the listing doesn't distinctly identify it as 2-rail then I pass. What a waste of time.

In retrospect the "geniuses" as well as many sellers apparently like it just the way it is. So caveat emptor.

No.

Sir I respect your final word as owner and publisher.

Please cancel my Premium Membership and my current subscription to OGR Magazine.

Time to find a forum where suggestions are welcomed.

Thanks.

Good grief...I was short on time and wanted to give you a quick, concise answer to your question!! What more was needed than a simple, one-word answer? I didn't mean anything more than that!

If you still want to cancel your premuim membership, this is something you have to do yourself. For security reasons, we have no access to your credit card info.

I think, for several reasons, a 2 rail for sale sight makes sense. If the answer is no due to space considerations, there are some summary sites that lump similar subjects together that seem redundant to my dull mind.

I don't run a web site so I have no idea whatsoever the business challenges it represents, so Rich forgive me if I have spoken out of turn.

I truly enjoy this forum and love the fact we have some real railroaders on here for comment and perspective.

While I appreciate and share Doug's passion for 2-rail stuff, especially the 3/2 MTH premier diesels, I think the idea of a separate 2-rail for sale forum is a bad idea.  People will still post 2-rail stuff to the 3-rail forum, and the 2-rail forum will see occasional 3-rail listings by accident.  Then there is the stuff that is 1:48 but doesn't go on a track (scenery, buildings, 1:48 people, etc).  Which forum would you post them on?

I think the addition of a "2-rail for sale" section will cause more problems than it solves.

Hey guys had a good e-mail with our boss Rich.  As usual forums and the written word aren't always the best way to communicate.

Rich didn't mean to come across the way he did.  I could have done better myself.

That being said this is one of the finest 2-rail forums I have found yet.  I sure need all your help.

Take care.

Chuck
