Just acquired the above locomotive and I am looking for a set of Premier Passenger cars to go with it any suggestions?

Bad news for you, I just checked that sound file now that I know where to check- segment 241 and yours has the bad sound file too if you enable quilling whistle and then play the PFA sequence. As seen here https://ogrforum.com/...6#163180074756537156
Again, the process is simple, download the sound file from the product page.

Open with ADPCM and analyze it. http://www.silogic.com/trains/ADPCM.html
Attempt to play segment 241 and if that segment is loud static- then that is what you will get out the tender speaker when playing the PFA sequence with quilling whistle enabled at the same time.

On the passenger cars front, I would think you might like the Madison style Southern Crescent cars over the Smooth ones.
Example of smooth ones MTH 20-6517 Southern 70' Streamlined Passenger Car Set
To me the Madison ones from this set on the "bay" https://mthtrains.com/20-3463-1 are a better fit but don't think there is a full set listed today.
FWIW, I ran into a similar problem trying to find the MTH cars I wanted at a price that was good and ended up with the Lionel Southern Crescent set from 2001Lionel 6-25654 Southern "Crescent Limited" Heavyweight 4 Car Passenger Set
Here is my Crescent Limited MTH passenger car set(s).
The five car set is 20-4077 MTH date 2005, I bough it new at local dealer 2014
The two car add-on set is 20-4177 also MTH date 2005 and again bough it at local dealer 2014.
The RPO car is 20-42044 MTH date 2018 bought at local dealer 2018. Now don't think Southern actually painted a RPO for the Crescent!?
Before getting the MTH set(s) had a five-car set by K-Line sold to a forum member after getting the MTH.
EDIT: Forgot to add, these MTH cars have correct "names."

Edit: Just thought about this, did MTH keep the heavy weigh molds???!
