Alan,

Thanks for posting that photo.  You reminded me that I HAVE one of those.  When I was working, it was in my office every year, then it was put into "Christmas Storage" by the company.  When I retired, they sent it to me (lucky) but I've never gotten around to trying it.  Now, I'll have to go find it and crank it up.  It's quite a unique piece from Hallmark.   I'll bet they would sell a bunch if they reproduced it.

Festivus for the rest of us!

New Ceiling and primer done just in time for the temporary layout. Layout is still not finished but is close enough for now. One loop of Standard Gauge and 2 O Gauge loops. Most are reproductions except for the station, semaphores, lamps, and flagman. Will try to post more pictures soon!

Now that our Polar Express event has wrapped up now have my Santa train home. IMG_9464IMG_9465IMG_9466IMG_9468IMG_9469IMG_9470IMG_9471Added another flat car with kiddie pedal cars to my train, and painted up some letter boards that were big enough to mount the silver sparkly letters. Spells Lionel Trains on the last 2 flat cars. Would like to find some Kiddie pedal cars or rocking horses closer to O scale to add, these cars Hallmark ornaments a bit oversize but only ones I could find.

Great photos of so many great layouts

As mentioned, per OGR Forum members recommendations sent a few of these sets out.

This was the first one, it arrived on base and an hour later it was set up and running

( Very odd Lionel doesn't include batteries for the remote , so they "borrowed" the batteries from the TV remote to see it run.)

The 2015 picture....

Like it!

Size?

Track pieces?

All four switches are manual 036. The curves are a mix of 036, 048 and 060. While I normally put everything on RRTrack first, I did not with this layout. It's been a while since the old desktop computer was fired up.  Let me see if I can get the layout on paper.

Birkshire President,

Thanks much for the nice complement, and no sir I do my own design layout engineering, however you may have seen my last years Christmas layout in the OGR stuff, it also seems to be floating around in some other places also.  When you see the Bear Tree it usually is our home Christmas Train Layout.

Merry Christmas!

DSCN1563Drummer3,

As Capt Kirk says Scotty we need more Power!   Always have enough power to expand the Christmas layout, thinking of adding a ZW-L next year, and maybe another level of Trains.  What you can't see in the picture, is the KW around the left side of the platform that controls the bumper cars on the 3rd level.

Merry Christmas to all. Here is one more S gauge train video made at the Polar Express show in Grafton WI. on Jan 19 by Bill Howe and myself. The layout features S gauge trains and a Disney Monorail. This video was assembled by a Badgerland member, Fred Vergenz, and our thanks go out to him. Please do enjoy.

Built this for my oldest son's 2nd Christmas, so this is the 15th year we've run it. This is the first year we've included the fake snow and the Christmas buildings.

Do you remember where you got the Garfield and Odie figures or who made them?

I would love to find a set.

They are from the Garfield Christmas Village by the Danbury Mint. I got those more than 20 years ago. There were a bunch of different buildings, but I only have the two. Those weren't the days for me to remember to write a check every month, so I gave them up. Anyway, I just did a quick search on eBay, and there are several posted right now.

FOX NEWS: Winterton's Town tree is up, Scandal avoided for now

Wintertons Village officials breath a sigh of relief as the Village Tree has been finally raised.  With rail traffic up almost 50%, Two major derailments and power issues. Despite assurances from CB&Q/GN officials that the tree would be up in time for Village Celebrations.  Village officials were still worried that the Grinch had gotten his way.  One village official was quoted as saying that the derailments were suspicious in nature as with the power issues. He also stated that after the holidays that the Village will hold hearings as to the causes and vowed that people will be held accountable!!!  In the meantime The Village Administration wants the residents to enjoy the rest of the holidays and wish everybody a Merry Christmas.

Finally finished!  There are several pics and a video at the end.  The lower level is led by double headed 0-8-0 Lionel Locos pulling a Hershey's chocolate themed consist.  The top level is headed by a LionChief Plus 4-6-4 Hudson pulling a consist of mostly non-Hershey's candy themed cars with a few Hershey's branded cars at the end.  The village is Dept 56 Snow Village.  The layout is 16 ft end to end.  Merry Christmas!

Great photos by all so far, and I enjoy going through them as always.

Here are my entries a few hours before Santa gets on the sleigh.

This years layout is a 52x108 on top of the Ping Pong table with a MTH Real Trax 31x80 loop and a straightaway for the trolley.

Used 3 different consists this year on the one track, the typical Christmas freight train, a Santa "Amtrak Holiday Express" and a Metro North M7 running up into the snowy areas of Westchester County.

Thought that I put some night photos on my flash drive when we left for the holidays but didn't. I'll have to post them when I get back.

Merry Christmas!  We did manage to put together a very simple carpet RR for Christmas this year.  The room will eventually become our "train room", for now it houses this crude floor setup.  I include video that's probably too long for the content of our layout (sorry).  You'll see my favorite train, the gold Polar Express.  The LionChief PE is there for our grandchildren (the Littles) to operate.  If you look hard behind the blue building (actually a candy tin), you'll see a Christmas (Snowflake) BEEP that has been upgraded for me by GRJ.  It includes Railsounds, TMCC, improved lighting and a flashing red/green beacon.  We love it.

Hope everyone has a terrific Christmas and that Santa delivers all that you wished for.

Good afternoon everyone and Merry Christmas.

Attached are some photos from my layout. it is winter here all the time so the feeling of Christmas never quite goes away.

I have been getting things ready for Christmas so I have not had the time to put a lot of work into my layout this year.

I will have to post a few photos at time so hopefully you will stay tuned.
