I have a basket-case 2035 I am in the process of restoring. How is the smoke stack removed? I assume it is just a press fit. Is it glued in place or can I just tap it out. Similarly, I assume the bell can just be tapped out.
Thanks for the info. The smokestack and bell were successfully tapped out.
I have learned one major lesson from this restoration project. I bought the engine for about $10 at a train meet. The engine was in pieces and a lot of the pieces were missing. The missing parts add up to close to $100. This is going to be one expensive 2035 when I am finished.
