I can get this F3 motor to run in one direction ONLY by touching a hot lead directly to the armature. I have several other F3 motors and swapped brush plates between them and they all work fine. So I've eliminated the brush plate and brushes as the problem. The problem motor will only buzz, jerk and smoke.
Is the problem in the windings, which is beyond my knowledge?
