Ladies & Gentlemen,

Received my 249 Engine & Tender back from Gunrunnerjohn today, the ERR upgrade looks fantastic, and John's work is so perfect you can hardly tell the Tin Plate was even worked on, his detail work is exceptional, the speaker and program switch in the tender is almost completely un-noticable, the tether is exceptionally well done.  I will have to wait till I set up the Christmas layout, around Thanksgiving time to see her run however, Guns tested everything in the 249ERR UP-Grade at his place before shipping it to me however.

Fantastic

Sweet.  Set up a loop and let her rip.  Quit procrastinating...  I'd like to check that out.

I just got my 1835 back from repairs.  I think I dropped it off April 7.  He said she's all good to go, better than new.  So I need to...  Quit procrastinating and set up a loop and let her rip.  This beauty has a great whistle in the tender.  Pretty darn handsome too.  I have to see how it runs right away.  Just for curiosity sake.  Good luck with yours.  That looks/sounds cool.

William 1,

I hear ya buddy, however I trust Guns and he tested her, I have no doubt she runs like a top.  Got about 6 other project in the fire right now, including a Carport for our 28' Motorhome, new floors going into the 30'x12' Game Room, along with probably the Office.  Breaking out the trains right now would over load the home upgrade, and probably have my wife using her Circuit Judge 45 long Colt/.410 shotgun on me. I might take off one night to a friends layout, and see how she operates however.

Ok - when it gets to the point of being dangerous, I suppose patience is the best course.  To be honest, I'm looking at my 1835 now, no track has been laid yet to test mine either.  I think I posted thinking I was motivating you, but  in reality was trying to get myself in gear.  And I'm just laying on my couch, without an armed spouse.  Time to get my hands dirty.  Good luck with that engine.  It looks like a beauty.   Like you said at the beginning, it is one of a kind now.

William1,

I was only kidding buddy, but it is really busy around here right now, with the Game Room flooring project, my wife is very understanding about my O gauge hobby.  What I should really do is put the Game Room books shelf layout in, just after the new flooring construction job is completed.  If I have time before the Car Port construction job starts, I just might get the brackets and shelving built.  At least I got all the house plumbing upgraded, with new hot water heaters and faucets in the kitchen and bathrooms, so we are making some head way.  If time permits I would really like to install the Game Room ceiling layout and test run the 249ERR, we will see how things progress.
