I have an older MTH Polar Express loco with QSI stuff inside. I bought it used several years ago, but only put it on the track this week. The seller said it was PS1. I made a few successful runs around the tree on Christmas Eve but was greeted in the morning with those dreaded 3 Clanks.
--I replaced an old Craftsman (yep) battery with a BCR.
-The engine smokes; headlight works; no sounds or movement.
--MTH Z4000 at 18v; when I hit the ‘direction’ button I do hear a click.
Advice, please.
