Can the 5" isolated track sections (the ones with one outside rail cut) be purchased separately? They are included with activator packs, but I've never seen them by themselves. If not, would it possible to make one? Thanks

Fastrack?
Here are pictures of the top and bottom of 5 inch FastTrack and the 5 inch Isolator track (5 inch Isolator is stamped on the bottom of the track) in the 6-12029 Acessory Activator Pack.
The 5 inch track is the top track.
It appears that you can remove the piece that connects the outer rails and cut one of the outer rails to make an isolator track.

If indeed you are talking about Fasttrack, yes, you can make your own which comes in handy for crossings on a curve. There are a couple of YouTube videos on it. One by PaPaville is worth looking at. I haven't done it yet but plan to.
