Once again the large National Capital Trackers layout at Baltimore's B&O Railroad Museum gave me the opportunity to run a LOOOONG train. Here's 50 cars, pulled by 3 Williams Geeps, two powered and one dummy. The train ran smoothly behind these locomotives for over an hour. Cars are a mix of Lionel and K-Line, some with die-cast trucks, others with the plastic Symington-Wayne trucks.

Tom, it is actually C&O. it is K-Line, from one of their Plymouth locomotive sets.

Several years ago my brother and I put together a long train that chased its tail on his layout I think it was 45 cars. The coupler slack was 4 inches. he pulled it with a MTH big boy. We then changed it to my Williams trainmaster. Both locos were able to pull by themselves.
