I have a Century Club scale 4-8-4 NYC Niagara, 6-28069, that has a very anemic smoke output if it smokes at all. I bought it used and do not have the manual and have not been able to locate a parts list online. I have replaced the smoke unit resistor with a 27 ohm resister that I had on hand. That doesn't do the trick obviously. I'm hoping someone can tell me what value of resistor I should be using.

27 is stock but you can use anything as low as 20 ohms. I use 22 ohm 2 watt resistors. You might want to change the batting out as well and make sure the batting is not blocking the air path. Lionel’s rope batting is good or you can use tiki torch wick from your local home/hardware store.
