6-28297 southern pacific gp9 #446 Legacy

This engine does not have Odyssey Speed control from Lionel. Only Legacy control. Is it worth while or even possible to upgrade it with some sort of speed control? I included the parts list for a reference to what it does include. If there is something I have missed, please let me know. Thx in advance for any advice.

This engine has a Pullmor motor. No one has developed cruise for AC motors yet.

You would first have to convert to a DC motor, then install Legacy motor drivers if you wanted to keep it Legacy.

You would be much better off selling this engine and get a TMCC or Legacy GP9. It would cost less in the long run.
