Here's a blast from the past. This was upgraded to TAS EOB and Puff n Chuff many years ago. It has been spending some time elsewhere the past few years and has recently come back into my possession for a bit. I thought I would give it a spin around the layout after giving it a bit of maintenance. This is probably my favorite whistle Lionel has ever done. I like this engine so much I can even forgive the torpedo shell markers.

Nice. Good to see 606 in revenue service again.... Always like seeing your layout too.
Beautiful, simply beautiful!
Thought that I was there. Superb work.
Merry Christmas Norm. 606 and the layout look great!
Thanks guys. Too bad it's so clean. I don't think they were allowed to get too dirty anyway. I have Dan's 611 here too (the TMCC one). He wants me to convert it to 4 chuffs so maybe I can try out GRJ's chuff generator in it.
Excellent!
What a beauty!
Very nice, thank you Merry Christmas
Great Video Norm - and you may already know this, but the Pennsy borrowed and tested Norfolk & Western J #610 in December of 1944. She reached speeds of 110 mph and even pulled the Broadway Limited on a few occasions!
Incredible engine, incredible smoke unit, and a truly amazing layout. I'm in awe. Thanks for posting. I'd never want to part with that beauty.
