773 lubrication

I have a 1950 773 Lionel Hudson that runs good but was wondering about proper lubrication. The center gear box says GREASE, what type of grease is best to use or is it OK to use the oil that I use on my other trains?

Use Lucas Red 'N' Tacky #2, it will stay in place, and provide a vastly superior lubrication experience than anything available when the 773 was built.
