Got home from Maine on Sunday afternoon and found these 8 beauties from Menard's on my front porch. My Menard's collection is growing by leaps & bounds. I have about 30 cars now plus buildings. "WHEW" It's getting expensive.

Spence,
I received my order of one SuzieQ car on Friday.
Here is a photo of it on the layout. It had a nice run last evening.

Nice SPENCE Enjoy!!
These look great. It says online they are 10 1/2 inches long which makes it a 40 foot car. Is the size similar to a boxcar made by Weaver which is also 10 inches long?

I believe most of the Menards boxcars are from the same mold, they're indeed 10.5" long if you measure the walkway. The actual box is slightly over 10" long. The couplers are closer than many other cars, they look good coupled up together.
Can't wait to see all of them together. Nice graphics.
Looking good Spence!
Very nice Spence! I think the Menards bug has bit me too! I got the Army flat with the tank and just ordered the engine shed with the illuminated sign. I need to stop checking out your Menards posts!
That beats any six-pack.
Let's say that I believe the OGR forum members are doing their part to make the Menards O-scale product line a success.
Now that is what I call a "coming home" present.
Spence, great purchase. I just check Menards website and presently they do not have any sets of box cars on sale. I'm sure, they will be coming up with another special on a set of box cars.
Are these full scale sized cars. I always assumed they were 0-27.
As I've pointed out a number of times, they're 10" long cars, so for a 40' boxcar, they're scale sized. My Reading cars have a length of 40' 6" in the car data on the side, which tells me they're a scale 40' boxcar.
I compared them to the new Vision Line PFE Reefers in size, they're virtually identical. The only difference is about 3/32" narrower, but you'd have trouble spotting that unless you were really looking.
