Hey folks,

So I have been kinda curious to learn some more about the Lionel LCS App. Now I'm more for operating my stuff with Lionel Legacy but, never hurts to research and try new things am I right? Anyways, I just have a few quick and simple questions concerning The Lionel App and other things and they are the following:

1. How Many Locomotives Can The App Support?

I am well aware the Standard Lionel Legacy Remote is capable of only handling up to 98 Locomotives so, I am hoping Lionel would increase the limit in this App...that or Lionel would've released a new Remote or software update or just something that would be capable of handling more than 98 Locomotives.

2. How Difficult Is It to Setup?

It doesn't seem too hard but, I just want to be sure.

That's all the real questions I have, hopefully you guys can supply with the answers I am searching for. Thank you much!

Hey folks,

So I have been kinda curious to learn some more about the Lionel LCS App.  I assume you mean iCab?   Now I'm more for operating my stuff with Lionel Legacy but, never hurts to research and try new things am I right? The LCS app is geared more towards operating a layout including switches and accessories.  It has limited engine control.

iCab is Lionel's app for the iPhone or other iDevice that replicates to a degree the Cab2 and is much better than LCS app for running engines and trains.

No different.  You are still limited to 99 engines (99 being all).  It is we were told in the Legacy meetings a hardware limitation.

2. How Difficult Is It to Setup?

If you are familiar with other WiFi systems very easy.  The only thing that might get a smidge tricky is having it join your home network if you go that route.

It doesn't seem too hard but, I just want to be sure.
