A Look at My Layout

I always enjoy your posts, this one was the greatest.  Fun seeing a recap of all the zany projects/scenes your fertile mind has created.  Layout warrants an Animated Movie.  Outstanding work, craftsmanship, imagination.  Fabulous presentation/post!   Bravo!

Ditto.  And Lee has done an amazing job of filling that space.  I am favorably impressed with his picture-book mode of presentation, too.  It makes things all the more interesting.

The "map" was a nice feature. It has allowed me to put it all the visuals I've seen so  often, together as "one room"

I commented on a previous post that I would love to see your whole layout. Well, you came through in spades. Thanks for sharing. You have an exceptional layout.

Very, very Nice. This must be a labor of Love. Congratulations Lee and Thanks.

Back when I was a youngster, I thumbed through a now defunct model railroad magazine. It stirred my interest in building a layout, rather then put every now and then my oval trackage on the linoleum floor to play with my trains, rather then running them on a layout.

The interesting thing about the article was the author told a believable story behind his layout, the figures, the buildings, and scenery. It changed my perception from a toy, to a realistic miniature depiction of a railroad, and its route.

Lee has done the same, and more, with his scratchbuilding, and story telling of his layout. Making it believable, and enjoyable to want to see,hear, and read more. Lee is a asset and ambassador to the hobby.

Lee, enjoyed the tour of a great looking layout. Goes to show that a layout is never  really done. It is always evolving and changing. Look forward to future updates.....Paul

Time, energy, imagination and talent all come together within your layout. I especially like that you said your layout is always evolving and changing--a never ending product of sweet dreams of the past for all to enjoy.

Super nice layout. I would say that OGR should do a photo shoot for the magazine but they couldn't compare in coverage than what you provided.

How wide are most of your aisles? I'm amazed you were able to squeeze those large curves and that track plan into that size space.

If I read the opening correctly they were 30" and he reduced them to 24" when he added the "Streets" to the layout.

i really enjoy your posts as well.  Keep them coming.  It was nice to get the full perspective on all of the streets work you have done (and written about) on your layout. All I can say is thank you for sharing!!

Just realized your missing a Detective from the southwest area your modeling. Chief  Detective Rod Blake of the Nevada State Troopers. Drove a Black 56 Ford, and had many cases which took him to surrounding states. Series lasted 3 seasons.

Did I miss Broderick Crawford, or the Lineup LAPD Detectives?

Broderick Crawford is coming soon, I hope.  My pre-order for a 1:43 version of his Buick cruiser has been with diecastdirect for some time.  Frankly its been long enough I I think I need to take something close and repaint it because maybe it will never be produced.

Awesome layout and narrative, Lee. I particularly like your detectives section, and the various cars that you have integrated so creatively throughout the various areas.

Wife bought me the complete series of State Trooper. Pretty good stories, with some surprised endings not normal seen. Rod Cameron does some good acting.

For 77 Sunset Strip, Warner Brothers did several crossovers shows. Bringing Bourbon Street, Hawaiin Eye, and Surfside 6 characters to the agency. I can see Poncie Ponce taxi cab now.
