The FL9s are suppose to be shipping to the USA in December. I saw a pre-production model at the New Haven Railroad train show on November 10. It was sent directly to Ron of Ron's Books of Harrison, NY. It was all black so it was hard to see most of the detail but the nose looks looks correct, the most important part of the locomotive.

My dealer is getting 5 different versions. I ordered the New Haven and New York Central versions.

I'm very pleased this model is being produced at an affordable price. As a life long resident of the New York City metropolitan area, this is one of the locomotives I long ago included on my "must have" list of models if they ever became available.

Now I have to see what I can do about getting a NYC DES-3 "Tri-Power" model.

i was so happy they decided to do the Maine Eastern versions of the FL-9, the round house at Rockland , Maine is home to the pair of Ex-Amtrak #488-489 and they are only 5 minutes from my town! Maine Eastern also has the Ex- pennsy blunt end observation car Alexander Hamilton in its fleet, so i will be on the hunt for a Golden Gate version as it becomes available.
