Thru the generosity of a gentleman from here, my layout is now sporting a nice old Marx tinplate freight terminal, and he even included 3 diecast trucks and 1 sedan. After a few minor dents were popped out of the terminal base, she looks good even before I polish it up with Pledge. I plan to add a couple lights up inside the building to light up the interior, which is also lithographed. Thanks again! Mike the Aspie

That MARX freight station is a real gem! You are lucky to have one!
Very cool indeed.
She has few dents and some rust on the platform part of the building, looks great and we call that nice patinia! I love it and am so thankful that I have it. They do not go cheap at shows or on fleabay. Mike the Aspie
Very nice! I saw this item in an antique shop a few years back for $45. I do not have a lot of Marx, and did not know if it was a good price. I just liked the lithography so much that I had to have it!!

Very cool, I have a soft spot in my heart for tin buildings. Don't have space on my tiny layout but like to collect them nevertheless.

AD,
Very cool gift!

very nice! I've wanted one of those for a long time. There was one at the last show I went to for only $50, really nice shape. I thought about it but I'd have to wipe out my Plasticville town to make room for it.
Definitely a CLASSIC tin structure in a league with the Lionel 840 Power Station! Does require a bit of real estate with its large footprint!
Gentlemen,
Even with the large foot print I may try to pick one up, especially now that I have the new train room. Still have over 1/2 the room to build in. Have wanted the Marx Tin Plate Terminal for a long time, to go along with my Marx Play Time Barn and US Army HQ Building. Old Tin is still the best stuff.

How cool
warms my heart, such a great family we have here.
Always wanted this MARX jewel, but it seemed like I neither had the space nor the funds when I came across one! Plus my OCD required a pristine example which further restricted my choice!
Pristine is nice, but to me it to "sterile". All those scratches, dents and such tell a story about how this toy was enjoyed by a child back when it was new. Just as my trains do the same thing. Yes mint in the box to pristine, or whatever you wish to call super clean, probably not played with toys are nice. But not my cup of tea so to speak. Mike the Aspie
