I'm pretty sure we had a discussion about JEP postwar O gauge train power requirements some time back but I can't find the thread.  I thought I remembered someone saying the postwar JEP was DC only and there wasn't any way one could put a rectifier inside one of the locomotives to power it with an AC transformer - is this correct or am I mis-remembering?

I also cannot find the thread but do remember  a discussion. Anyway: JEP introduced DC in 1952 (motor AP-5); so not all postwar JEP is DC only, it depends on the locomotive. In a DC locomotive it is of course possible to put a rectifier inside, but if you want to change direction also a switch has to be build in.
