A Visit To Mr. Muffin's Trains Pictures Added

Greetings Everyone,

My Wife and I had the distinct pleasure of visiting the Infamous O Gauge Layout of Steve "Mr. Muffin" Nelson today and let me tell ya, it was a wonderful experience from the minute we entered the shop until the time we left! nod The layout is overwhelming to say the least and Steve is a very gracious host as well making the total experience one I'll be talking about for quite some time. thumb Steve doesn't normally "run" trains other than on Saturdays but as luck would have it he was putting a few consists together in preparation for the Saturday Session and was cordial enough to run a few of them around the layout while we were there. I was able to take a bunch of pictures but my favorite is the one I'm posting here. I can't thank Steve enough for sharing his passion with me and my wife and believe me, it has been a real inspiration for me to really "dig-in" and get my layout going! eek BTW, Mrs. Muffin is really, really nice too! nod Again, thank you Steve for your kindness!!

Yes, Yes, Yes, I plan to visit the Muffins Train Store in the next few months. I did purchase a VL BB from them. I want to visit many of the Hobby Shops that are sponsors on the OGR FORUM....Thanks for posting those really nice pictures and posting this neat thread....Muffins is a Must See....Thanks.

Great photos! I love the accident sign by the yard. Might have to add a similar sign to my own layout. I'm definitely planning a trip to Mr. Muffin's this summer!

I was just in there in the last month as well. That is one impressive layout and Steve is one great host!! You took some nice photos. There is so much to see on the layout you really want to take your time looking around.

Thanks Marty! Believe me, it is WELL worth the trip. It took me and my wife about five hours point to point from our location in Parma, OH. That's counting the Mc Restroom stops. cry After seeing pictures of your layout I know YOU would really appreciate this layout. nod

Nice lay-out! Great pictures too!

Wish that I could see the lay-out and store someday along with Elliot's lay-out out that way but don't think I ever will. Will just have to enjoy the pictures I guess, so thanks for all the picture postings of the two lay-outs, peoples.

Did you sample Mrs. Muffins delicious homemade muffins? We stopped in last month and purchased some items in store. Layout is great, saw the Monon set. Store was full, picture doesn't show it because it was taken at a low angle and when almost all the "walking heads" were obscured by scenery.
