Looks great SPENCE!!!!  Where did he get the Dunkin Dounuts franchise.  My WIFE would love that!

But that fantasy Daylight-colored Cab Forward though, gotta have a talk with him... 

Spence, John and his wife are wonderful hosts as you quickly learned. A visit to his layout is more than a real treat.

 

And for the SP fantasy Cab Forward, John is known for his excellent taste in trains. Something that we New Englanders share.

I dunno, unless by taste in this particular instance you're defining it as going only as far as the tongue. 

What did I tell you Spence. If you post the photo John Korling will have a comment about the Cab Forward Daylight. Oh well it was great having you and Sue over for a visit.

 

It's not too late John.  Just a repaint to it's prototypical freight color glory and surviving #4294 and the spirits of Cab Forwards Past will forgive you and Brian from going down the dark side of unprototypical abominations.

Thank you for the report and photos of your visit to Capt John's. It all looks great Capt John!  So now I have another layout to schedule into a New England trip!  We have never been to New England, but we know there are so many great sights and so many layouts to see.

Capt.Johns layout is nothing short of Awesome!  If I had the real estate I would model my layout plan after his!

I've had the pleasure of seeing John's  layout in person. The layout and layout room is absolutely beautiful, you can't ask for better hosts than John and his wife. Really great folks!!!!!!

Yes indeed, Johns layout is only surpassed by the hospitality of him and his wife. I am hoping to bring another forum member to visit on Aug 9th.

 

The shelf displays of his collection are nothing short of awesome.
