Put a bid on several MTH pcc street cars before I noticed they are wired for DC. How to I rewire them for AC operation. Thanks.

Adding a simple bridge rectifier between the motors and the track will do the trick if all you need is one direction of travel. If you want the familiar "neutral-forward-neutral-back" control you will need to reinstall an electronic reversing board, something like what every MTH self-propelled unit originally had.

You need an inverter to convert DC to AC.
