I have a desire to scratch build a scale milk car, the kind that had the milk tank inside the wooden boxcar, with the tank wrapped in cork. Not the Bordons butter dish, but similar to the lionel 6-17358 that has the twin tanks inside. I was looking at some parts from Plastruct, and using a scale Atlas car, but I can't find any info online about these cars. Our local milk plant shipped one loaded car per day.

Any info, links or photos are appreciated.

I found tons of pictures on google prior to posting, but I guess I failed to be more specific-
I want to find out the sizes of the interior tanks, how the piping was arranged to load and unload, and if they actually had as much as an open center space as shown in the lionel model. If they did, did they transport additional milk cans? Was the entire car refrigerated, or was the tank so well insulated that the chilled milk kept fine?
