Just started to get back on the forum after the vacation and noticed that the ads are gone in the banner above the forum. All I see is a large rectangle with 4 blue bars in it. I wanted to link to the site of one of the sponsors and nothing shows up. I am using IE 11. Are they gone or is something on my computer blocking them?

They are there for me. Must be your computer.
I see them. You may have an ad blocker on your browser...or it's just a glitch.
Yep they are there for me ...and a lot more than in the past ...and I think that is a good thing.
No glitches here. You've got an ad blocker running.
I believe the problem is at your end.
By any chance is adpeepshosted.com a restricted site in your security>restricted sites setting ? Had this issue with ie10.
I get the same thing using IE heres probably the issue . click the gear at the top go to manage addons then tracking protection there should be one thing in there your personalized list disabled. I have easy list also but I keep that that with out it the adds show up for me
Speaking of the ads, they move around and come and go? I'll go looking for Nassau for example and can't find them. So I google and bring up their site. Am I not supposed to go to their site easily from OGR? Why would that be?
The ads change every time the page loads. If you don't see the ad you want, just click around a bit on various pages and it will soon show up.
the banners are somewhat different on different threads?
just speaking from experience there is more sponsors than room so they are on a rotation. refresh until you get the one you want. I personally would make a page for the sponsors and remove the add banner and make the page static so it shows all the sponsors in one spot all the time. but not my site.
I don't think a separate page is as valuable to an advertiser. Better to do it the way it's being done...maybe mention "Refresh for More Advertisers" on the banner for us doofuses who don't think of doing that.
I'm using IE 11 also and no problems here, they show up just fine.
I have this thing on Firefox called "Bookmarks". Comes in real handy if you can't find the ad.

Found it! Forgot that I had even set them.
