I am updating my control panel and would like to add dwarf signals to the layout. I am using the MTH DCS system (TIU now, thinking of adding the AIU) with TMCC. I run will be running the layout in DCS or conventional, depending on with trains I want to run and who is bring over their equipment to try. I have decided to set my control panel up with a power switch to change from DCS to conventional transformer control. Anyway, the Atlas 21th system looks right to me but is on backorder everywhere and is kind of expensive (I think). I found some dwarf lights on the bay but need to know how to tie them into my switches. is there another relay I can buy or build I can wire in between the switch controller/AIU and the switch machine other than the 6931 Atlas unit.

I don't know what switches you have, but if it's Atlas or Ross you might find these from forum member Ingeniero No1 interesting. Non-contact, points TRUE position detector

I believe there are a couple of other threads about them also. I have tried them with Atlas-O switches, they are very nice, easy to install and work great.

I also like the Atlas-O signal system and it is used by Custom Signals as their base system also. Not sure they would have any stock if everyone else is out though. I was going to use all Atlas 6924 anti derail boards for all my switches, but the ones Ingeniero No1 has designed have changed my mind and will be using his in place of some of them. Atlas also makes a snap relay the will provide switch indicating lights. I have been told it can get out of sync with the switch though, where Ingeniero No1's can not get out of sync.

The other day Ingeniero No1 reported there were enough parts for one more sample kit for the true position indicators (that's what I have), so there may still be one available? Might be worth contacting him if you are really interested. It's a great invention and he has put a lot of effort into it to get it right. I think the production models are nearing completion though, if the kit is gone.
