I got a new "L" TIU. I put it into place and pressed read. It works as is. I did not actually add it to the remote. I only have one remote.

This new tiu will replace the old one on the O gauge layout. I will use the original on the G gauge layout.

I was reading Barry's book and realized I never actually added it to the remote. Because I use two different TIUs on different layouts, what would be proper for adding it? Will I have to re-add engines and consist's if I change addresses???? I never added anything with the new one yet. It just worked. Does it matter which TIU I change addresses on? Do I have to change any? I have not tried to use them both at the same time yet. I will soon.  Joe

Joe,

To replace a TIU that has the same DCS ID# as the one it's replacing, just swap it. Period, done.

Otherwisse, refer to 12. Using Multiple TIUs on page119 of eh DCS O Gauge Companion 2nd Edition.

This and a whole lot more is all in "The DCS O Gauge Companion 2nd Edition", now available for purchase as an eBook or a printed book from MTH's web store site! Click on the link below to go to MTH's web page for the book!
