After a few years of keeping my handcar safe as a shelf queen, I’ve decided to “can”ablize it so it doesn’t have a melt down. I don’t like the idea of ruining the vintageness of the piece, but guess I don’t like not running it more or about losing $ value.
I know about the S-n-S conversation (irreversible) but would like to know if there are other options available that anyone is aware of.

Get the Flyonel handcar. Looks identical and runs like gangbusters. 6-49815
Thanks for the heads up! By the time shipping is factored in, probably a better way to go. Do you know if the Flyonel version has, or can be modified for the dump car consist? I have the mining set. Still hoping there is a conversion kit available.
The Lionel AF Handcar with shed is a reversing handcar. They may have made others that are not. At any rate, I would think there's enough room to attach the drawbar to the tipple cars.
