I think so, but not real sure of the RPM being the same, let alone the mech. Other parts did change, but not all.

No repro discs that I know of. However there are station announcements in electronic kits sold on Ebay now. I forgot the name, they used to have a site, but I think they are Ebay store only today. Reasonably priced last I looked. They have been making these for about a decade, maybe longer). Simply to replace.  Search talking station on Ebay; I'm sure it'll come up. Listening to all the samples is kinda fun too 🤓

The kits have MANY station recordings from different brands all on one chip as well as custom announcement possibilities (or cheaper versions) Recordings are "cleaner" and won't ever wear out and are changed fast, without the flipping the disc. (the needle is poor, wears fast and then carves uneven at the plastic creating permanent random noise as if carving evenly was ok ..i.e. sound quality drops very fast).

I might have later City Station a disc with a good.diesel side, but steam side is awful.

I like analog sound and electro mechanical best, but I think these sounds on a chip are the way to go. Your timer and mech parts can remain in place and functional. I'd rig a better needle system if it has to be analog.
