Afternoon of trains at Captain John's

Glad you and Marty could make it out, Dotty. Have to put Captain John's layout on the "to do" list when we get back up to New England.

 

Chris and I had a great time with you and Marty. Hopefully we can convince you to make a trip to Captain John's with us one day.

Captain  John's layout is nothing less than spectacular! One of the best I've seen.

That a red hot loooking locomotive.It looks pretty sharp to.And looks at home pulling a train with flatcars.With firetrucks water trucks maybe some bulldozers.And a few boxcars for fireman gear and firstad and food.And maybe a few buckcars for sleeping and resting fireman.

Bruce, Next time you're in the area, we'll see if we can get down there. BTW, Ralph had to go downstairs the morning after you were here... to look for Chris!

Seaboard Streak, If you look closely at the fire scene behind the engine in the video, it is of New York City firefighters at a structure fire.

 

Just got off the phone with Marty to check up on him and make sure he and Dotty didn't rob any banks on the way back home!!  OK....just kidding as I know Marty would be more likely catching the bank robbers!! 

 

The pictures are great and who wouldn't have a great time with that group of guys and gals.  John's layout is spectacular just like he is and someday I have to get up in that area and visit all of you.

O.k. I have just looked at the video and your right.But the flashing lights on the front of the locomotive caught my eyes.That makes the locomotive even more cooler to me.

I love the fire engine.  It is really cool.  Perhaps he could find a set of the K-Line fire engine cars to go with the engine.  K-Line made a line of NYC fire cars to honor the firefighters after 911.

I love the picture of Dunkin Donuts but only us New Englanders would appreciate the Salty Brine poster in the background. I grew up watching him along with "Jeff".

It is always a treat to be with captain John and Marion. Wonderful layout and great hospitality.

 

Nice to see the Gerry and Sue, and looks like Marty is doing well from hos treatments. Thanks to Dotty for starting this thread.

John, thanks for posting your video. I guess some day I'll have to take one of the Fire Engine and Police Engine both running.

 

Jeff Steinbacher did a great job with these engines. They are MTH unshrouded J's.
