Hi there,

Someone started a thread awhile back - something about what a company should make.

About a year or 2 ago.  I emailed Lionel about the ARR turning 100 in 2014.  I suggested a pipetrain with their GP30 & to come up with new tooling for GP35s.  They brought out the GP35s, but botched the paint scheme for the ARR.  They never had Blue & Yellow GP35s.  I would still like a nice ARR pipetrain set.  PS-4 flats with a nice pipe load.

Here's a freight coming out of Whittier, Alaska last month with a lot of pipe.

Lionel hurry up and put together a nice set for the ARR in 2014.

Yes they did. I am waiting for a Legacy SD70MAC and they bring out a C-420 that Alaska never ran.

If you look at the drawings of their cars, they used various flats. You could make your own pipe train. ARR flats

The engine, that's another story.

You should help John's page as the 9/11 event brought a prohibition of cameras for employees.

Another train I thought of was the rock and gravel train. That gets moved to the port for export.

I would be interested in any photos that you have. email is in profile.

Hey, even the new LionChief Plus 4-6-2 steamer is numbered wrong-at least in the marketing photo-never had a #652.

They should number it #901 and paint it like this: 4-6-2 #901

Instead this is happening: #901 wreck
