Its very good for O scale, accessories, scenery items, and parts. You will not be disapointed. In addition a group of us forum members gather at a local diner very close to the show at about 6:30AM Saturday morning for breakfast and outstanding conversation. That's good to hear. I doubt I'll get to Allentown that early, but thanks for the invite. I've been to a few train shows in the last 6 months, and really haven't seen any real great deals out there. At least not for anything that hasn't been sitting on a store shelf for the last year or 2. Hopefully since it's after Christmas, prices will come down a bit.

If sellers expect to move inventory they've been sitting on for one or two years, they better darn be aware that the "buyers" out there have been scooping up some FABULOUS deals over the past few months like there's no tomorrw -- especially since the new year... with major blowouts and dealer "new year" sales to name just a couple of incentives that have clearly set firm "value price points" in lots of folks' minds.

So if sellers think they're gonna sell stuff at higher price-points in light of these very recent "incentives", then they might as well save themselves the aggravation and not show up at all.

My opinion, FWIW.

P.S.  BTW, Allentown is usually a worthwhile show that has the "essence" of York, but can easily be taken in within a few hours if you stroll the hall efficiently.

Honestly, it's worth checking them all out... 'Cause each one has offered something that has caught my interest in one way or another.

Search the forum for "blowout", and I'm sure you'll trip over a few worthwhile thinks.

Two forum sponsor here, Pat's Trains and Nassau Hobbies have had some great "new year" incentives, although they may have wrapped up by now.  The point being though... Buyers have a firm price-point in their mind of what's a great deal now.  Very few folks are gonna pay "regular prices" again for identical stuff that was just on the blowout shelf -- even if they missed the sale and are staring at the last one in the show priced in the stratosphere, IMHO.

You are all correct, especially Joe. She's a one-time caterer and the best Italian  cook this side of Arthur Avenue...and the other side, too. Only thing is, I've only been able to get her to one breakfast at HamFam.

Great Idea Greg

Let's meet at Chuck's house. I hear his wife is a great cook.
