Has anyone else had this problem? Bought a pre-war AF loco with protrusions on the underside. These weird features were new to me and I quickly learned to dislike them. On its initial run the loco crashed into one of my tinplate bridges because of these "cattle horns" sticking out the sides. Think I will remove them - only go forward anyway on my layout.

The track trip arm can be removed -so that it can be put back- these are famous for their catchiness.
