Re: Polar Express stuff arriving AFTER Christmas.

Looks like Lionel missed the boat again.

Such a shame to miss THE BIGGEST SELLING SEASON of the ENTIRE YEAR with a SEASONAL item aimed at that VERY SEASON... and then wonder why it didn't sell like hotcakes when it finally hits the market weeks/months after Christmas?

The PE stuff should have been ON THE SHELVES before Black Friday.

Wow... Lionel and S almost seems like a lost cause.

Well, there's always buying early for next year...

Frankly, unless the Flyer Polar Express could be displayed on an end cap and sold at some of the big box stores, it really doesn't matter much.  As it seems only a few of the big internet/mail order dealers even stock the Flyer set and the casual buyer isn't likely to deal with them.

It seems the only real market for the Polar Express is in O gauge, or so it seems on the 3-rail forum.  Particularly when it gets re-released every year with some new little tweek to snag the O Gaugers interest.

The HO PE landed with a thud and wound up being blown out by those same big internet/mail order dealers.  My LHS has had one in the display case for over a year and still has no interest shown in it.  Plus, I think almost everyone in S that wanted a Polar Express already set has one.

Now, I don't think the Polar Express model in any form is a bad thing, I just have no interest in it.

hi everyone and a very Merry Christmas to all.

I just ran the Santa Fe and it works as advertized I ran the GP7 on bluetooth  and I was really impressed on how easy it found the engine. I ran the GP7 from the other side of the house and it worked fine.

couplers all worked, lighting worked horn and bell all worked there is a second screen on the app that allows you to adjust the sounds, horns and bell and engine RPM.

I ran the unit as a switcher and coupled and uncoupled car very easy your ability to adjust the speed in small increments made the job go easy.

this is a simple full proof product.
