Dale, How about that? I just gave one away two weeks ago..LOL! As far as I can tell these are late 30's vintage. (I'll check my old catalogs) Allow me to check my sources, I may locate one for you.
Thanks Guys,I appreciate it.Will check links.

Thanks Pappy
The store linked above has a $20 minimum order. If I go that route I will shop for some other parts I might need.

Did you ever find another source for the finial for the American Flyer signal?
i also need one, but can't come up with the minimum $20 order from pure trains.
If you decide to order from them, you can order an extra finial and I will buy it from you.
thanks
Pat
No Pat I did not.
In fact I was at a train show in Altoona last weekend and asked an AF parts guy there,he did not have the piece or anything for standard gauge. Perhaps I will look when/ if I go to York this Spring. By the time I buy a finial I am looking at $25 for one. I would order other things to make $20 but there is not much I can use from them

I hate to ask, but I will.....
if you are at York and find the finials, would you pick up an extra and I will Buy it from you. It would be greatly appreciated. I can't find any American Flyer parts people around here. Gone to a few shows over the past couple of months, but no Flyer parts.
thanks

If I find a source I will try to get an extra one or 2 if I can. In the mean time if you find a source, let me know. These finials are also use on the highway flasher.

Thanks. If I find a source I will let you know. I was hoping to find some at a show in Madison, Wi last month, but no luck. Some guy had a generic brass one (fits Lionel, Flyer, etc), but no original or reproduction ones to be found.
Enjoy York if you go... I would like to attend some year, but it's a loooong drive from Minnesota.
