This video highlights the MTH PS3 Amtrak Genesis I recently added to replace my PS version.   Things I like about the PS3 are the more flush front windows, better ladder and pilot details.   The Rule 17 led lights are great and the sound set is better.   I like the blacked out parts of the paint scheme because it looks more prototypical of the dirty underside and smoky roof.   I look forward to your comments, questions, likes and dislikes.   As always, thanks for watching.

Ken - Thank for the video!  Although I'm not a huge fan of Amtrak equipment both prototypical  or in model form, your locomotives and passenger cars look and sound terrific!   I also love the look of your layout and your background.  Is your background river a real photo of the Potomac or Shenandoah river, since those two rivers merge  in Harpers Ferry.  I live about an hour and half from Harpers Ferry and have made many trips there.  I really like your hill of buildings ... much like in real Harpers Ferry.

Patrick - Harpers Ferry is my favorite rail fanning location.   I love the historic significance of the town as well.  The backdrops of my layout are made from photos I took in Harpers Ferry.  The Potomac river pic was taken from an Amtrak train I rode to Martinsburg.   The other photos were taken from the Hilltop Hotel and in town.   The town itself is a mess since I remodeled my track plan a couple of years ago.   Check out some of my older videos to see how much better the town used to look.   I'm planning to add water to the river bed (instead of using it for train storage).   Also get the bridges looking better properly supported next.   Scenery projects may wait till I can take down a wall and expand so the Potomac is a bit wider and the track system is Atlas.

I'd like to see the Free State Junction Railway.   Post a link or pics in your reply.
