Since its just play, put it ahead of the loco, maybe just use a B unit only? and push it: one of each end?

The Reading Crusader once had a streamlined observation at each end, so the trainset did not have to be turned. Only the locomotive was turned.

Perhaps put it in the for sell or trade post and sell it or trade for extra Pullman ? somebody out there will need the Observation car.

  Well, it's painted but undecorated.  Does it have an interior?  If it were mine, I would make it my own personal private car.   Give the car a name, just like the real ones.  I wouldn't change the outside, but maybe rework the inside-give it a custom interior.  Leave the outside Pullman green.
