My freight yard and engine area has about 20 switches. I’m using Ross Custom Switches with the DZ-1002 switch control units. I’m looking to change from the DZ-1002 to Momentary Push On/Off switches with pigtails. I think this will save room on a limited sized control panel. I can get Red head switches but can’t find Green head switches. Anyone know where to access them.
Also, any photos of your control panel and how you wired it would be a GREAT help.

See one of by control panels using the Z-Stuff controllers. I usually control the turnouts in pairs.
I just use the red & black pushbuttons from All Electronics, .85 each. You can put a dab of green paint on the black ones I suppose. I refer to the black ones as "very dark GG1 Brunswick Green".
If you build a diode matrix for your yard panel, all you need is ONE button for each track. Push the button for that track and the switches involved will all automatically line the route for the chosen track.
The DZ-1002 contains some electronic components. Attached is the schematic for your review.
