Back when on my rolling stock binge, I kitbashed and scratch built a number of

cabooses, as I favor and use side door, combine, and drover's cabooses.  Some

were available in brass, such as, I think, three from Bobbye Hall, including a

T&P sidedoor, someone did an ATSF sidedoor, the remains of a prototype sits? at the Rhyolite RR station in Death Valley, and Third Rail did a UP sidedoor in two colors, but in three rail, demanding no truck and coupler change.   Having been in HO, I am annoyed by what isn't available in three rail, and try to fill those gaps.  MTH did do a side door, but you wouldn't recognize my kitbash of it. And then I got whimsical and decided to build long and short cabooses of various flavors.  This photo and another of one of the old ATSF ones with a seat, and no cupola, on the roof, should bore you enough, but is just a sample.

You might be thinking of this one, originally an Ambroid 1 in 5000 kit, later re-released by Northeastern Scale Models.

I had the Northeastern version, unbuilt, bought at MR Equipment Corp. on W. 45th St., but my bruddah somehow lost track of it when I was on the road with the band.

Please note that the kit you linked to is HO Scale.

LeBell Wood Working still offers the CB&Q "coach/caboose" wood kit in BOTH HO Scale and O Scale.

I give up...I searched old postings and can't find my posted photo of a kitbashed

model of a LaBelle cupolaed combine.  I have one built from a Walthers kit, too.  I

also have the O scale LaBelle kit for the CB&Q combine caboose, but with the other two built,  I have not hurried to build the kit.  I am reading on here that it will be

hard to find trucks for it.

I had a heck of a time finding the correct PSC brass trucks (2-Rail) for mine.

Don't worry about it.  I was aware that it is HO when I posted the link.  I didn't know about the LaBelle offering.  I've only been ogling passenger car kits on their site.
