I'm to presume that the Traditional version wouldn't have the dsc/dcc switch but it'll still have the smoke on/off switch in tender correct? and that under conventional operation its only a fixed chug rate as well?
According to the MTH catalog, the Traditional version uses an AC open frame motor, aka "Bild a Loco", and uses an air whistle in the tender. Correct me if I am wrong.
ah thanks royboy I guess I hadn't realized that yet. on the other hand it would be funny if steam locomotives running 'everywhere' on floor were to make your room almost looks a bit like the dagobah swamp scene from star wars? :-)
