Dan Navarre of River Raisin Models is retiring. RRM is basically a one-man show.
The announcement is in the August/September 2022 S Scale Resource.
The website will be up until the end of 2022.

Let's not forget American Models is still standing.

I talked to Dan 2 years ago about the future of his business, and he was leaning pretty heavily to the Pacifics and the passenger trucks being his last 2 projects. He's a great guy who has produced much of S scale's finest locomotives in my view.

True dat; in fact, I was running my AM RS-3 the other day and realized it's as quiet as any Kato unit I've had... which, in my opinion, is saying a lot! 👍

Too bad he could not sell it rather than close the business.
I just purchased 8 passenger cars from AM that I could not live without, all I really needed was 4 replacement traction tires. I am concerned what happens at AM as their inventory is depleted.

Was wondering the same thing...

There's no "real" business to sell, other than the name and good will. Everything River Raisin made was contracted to Boo-Rim and crafted in brass, so there's not a lot of physical assets available to sell.

Way of the world.

As well as Lionel American Flyer (whether one favors their products or not). They are a source of some very nice new motive power and passenger equipment.

I believe Rusty has been exiled from OGF. Not super clear on why, only that he is gone -- and really missed!
