Stop and see us John.  Tomorrow I hope to run some of my own equiptment such as Lacka. Pocono, Trainmasters, E8s and LNE Alcos  with long coal and passenger consists.  There is also some modern power and stacks and such (our younger members like modern stuff,) .  I am expecting some visiting equiptment as well perhaps some CNJ amd O&W power.  If you have some interesting power, bring it along.  We run TMCC, Legacy and DCS.Are you traveling far?

Earl,

Sorry I couldn't come see you today.  I was in Reading PA this weekend..............to lay my father to rest..  It would have been a welcome distraction this afternoon but 2 hrs and 100 mi in each direction wasn't going to happen.  I can't believe I even checked the forum last night but I didn't know what to do with myself.  Dear God I just want to call him and hear his voice...........  Sorry I missed you, maybe some other time.  I have to go hug my son again

Reverend,

Thank you for your kind words......  Its amazing that I only looked at a couple posts last night and the one I responded to happen to be yours.

I too belong to an O gauge modular group. The Lower Susqhehanna Valley Model Railroaders.  We are also displaying next weekend at the TCA show being held at St. Paul's Church in Millersville PA.

It seems like you and I will need to meet at some point...  Good night for nowand thanks again.

The next public outing for the Anthracite Hi-Railers will be the two days+ at Steamtown's Railfest Weekend over the Labor Day weekend.  We plan on a 12x40 layout to fit the space allotted. We will return to our current home base in Daleville PA immediately following. We haven't set holiday dates yet. I was just up to the layout this evening trying out my new MTH EL SD45s....sure takes me back.  My two sons and I used to run down to the Lacka mainline when we heard them coming.  At night we could hear them coming 5 miles away in the Roaring Brook gorge. The MTH versions sound like the real thing.

Anyway, if you make it to Railfest, you won't find me at the layout.  I am on duty Saturday on the Moscow excursion and Sunday I will be there after noon to reassemble and pilot the Amtrak train out to the CP main. If you come on Sunday, just look around the Amtrak train...I'll be the one running around chasing my own tail making arrangements for the move.

Let me know when your layout plans open houses as well.

Regards,

Conductor Earl
