Has anyone tried building some custom Polar Express Steam Locomotives or perhaps a custom Diesel Locomotive or Passenger cars

It's a good idea to use the OGR forum search function to find answers to questions like yours. If you put "custom Polar Express" in search engine you will find lots of information on the subject.

I repainted a K-Line operating milk car and Lionel operating barrel car, to go with the Polar Express. Barrel car got custom PE Cocoa stickers. I had intended to letter the milk car, but preferred it plain as a head end car for the passenger set.
I also customized and painted my observation car and one for a forum member. I used the services of Jeff Sohn to have a RPO painted and lettered to go with my set.

I would like to convert a diesel I have to polar express colors. Ive used the Fusion Satin Burgandy spray paint for the red with pretty good results , but the blue is the tough one. Does anyone sell this color in a spray can? And yes, I've searched the other threads.
No, but I am tempted to mod a North Pole Central Donner car to the correct name, DONDER. Was hoping Lionel would see fit to re-issue with the correct name. There is something very distasteful (pun intended) in having a Diner car named "Donner."

Here's in an older thread in which Keith gives his formula for the blue, and the rattle can product used for the maroon:

Double thumbs up to Keith for sharing this information on OGR forum. Some folks can become very private when it comes to disclosing such information; I'm grateful Keith posted it here.
Thanks Carl. Keith indeed does spectacular work. He also modified a PE scale coach to a Conductor Car and for me and gave me the idea to have custom painted a PE RPO car.
Here is a better look at the rear of the Observation Car.
