I feel like I might be the guy beating a dead horse, but any news. I haven't been on the forum much lately so I am somewhat out of the loop. I didn't see anything on the mth website either.

I saw some of the new tinplate while I was there for the authorized service center training last week..... Pretty awsome stuff.
Hey Mr. Muffin's - I have a shiny quarter with your name on it if you can tell us what you saw. *whispering* No one has to know.
I am holding my breath for a remake of Dr. Folb's set---it will be another connection for me to Syracuse.
Norm

I don't know if it will be, but I am hoping for it too.

Nope, not an auto carrier.
operating log dump car !!
Maybe a rerun of the work caboose.
How about a 500 series Blue Comet boxcar.
Maybe a baywindow caboose...that's never been done before
It would also be nice to see some type of streamliner like the big Hiawatha or Commodore Vanderbilt that was produced in the early 90s but done in medium size Std Gauge..like on a 392e or Piper chassis
How about an erector set bridge car where you have to build the bridge yourself?!(In O gauge only)
Maybe a baywindow caboose...that's never been done before
Your'e right, that has never been done before.... Wouldn't that be neat?!
a bay window caboose,,with an operating signal man !! or a stock car with cow sounds
Maybe a baywindow caboose...that's never been done before
No new motive power, so expect new colors of the same old stuff. The big question is what colors will the 400E's be? I'm not expecting much...that way I won't be disappointed. Is this an LCT catalog or Tinplate Traditions, or a combination of the two?
Jeff Davis
No matter what name they slap on the cover it's still MTH Tinplate Traditions.

I know it's tough for the seasoned tinplate enthusiasts, but there's a new influx of us O-Gauge "hi-rail" guys into Standard Gauge. And we missed out on lots of cool Standard Gauge offerings from the mid-2000's that are next-to-impossible to find on the secondary market. So we're jumping on the re-issues... for example, the recent Ives National Ltd and the Dorfan trains.
If there are new 400E's in Great Northern or Southern Pacific Daylight livery (and matching State-sized cars), that could spell bad news for my bank account. Same thing would be true for a Christmas Special 400E w/cars. And a Polar Express 400E w/cars would be the ultimate icing on the cake!!!
David
wow yes Christmas spcl,,,,,I would be in but like the blue comet cars better
After reading these posts I am thinking that my wallet will be spared.
Norm
It is a Lionel Corporation Tinplate catalog.
Maybe a baywindow caboose...that's never been done before
Your'e right, that has never been done before.... Wouldn't that be neat?!
Well, it has never been done by Lionel/MTH/Lionel Corp Tinplate, but it has been done.... in standard gauge.
You need to look past the same old stuff...

It was made by Glenn Toy in the late 1980's. All his stuff is made from cast and/or sheet aluminum. Very hefty and nicely detailed.

wow, really, did he put out any type of catalog?
